
All Travellers Entering S’pore Required To Pay For Swab-Test, Exception Available

Singapore has opened its process on handling Covid-19 to phase 2. With the recent updates, all travellers now who wish to enter Singapore will be tested as a part of their new precautionary measurement starting from June 17.
These travellers, will all required to bear up the cost of $200 for the swab-test. Which will be done before the mandatory 14 days stay home notice (SHN) period at provided testing facilities. These individuals will be notified via SMS on their test appointment and are required to avoid public transport to get to their testing location.
In addition, for those who are not Singapore or Permanent Residents will have to bear the additional cost of the SHN periods of $2,000 inclusive of GST if they are required to spend at government-designated facilities.
However, there are rules exceptions for those who are arriving from Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, Macao, China, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan & Vietnam in the last consecutive 14 days prior to their entry, will no longer have to serve their SHN at dedicated SHN facilities. For Singapore citizen and permanent residents, they may server their 14-day SHN at their own residence.
