Wedding Photo of 85yo Grandma with a 24yo Man Goes Viral with Hidden Heartwarming story
Recently a wedding photo of an elderly woman and a young man where they are having a age different of 61 years apart went viral on the Chinese social media platform, however the reason behind the stories is very heartwarming. The woman who she has spent her life caring for abandoned babies on the streets, Tang who she has been rescuing babies abandoned nearby hospitals and care for them as her own since 1983 and nurture the babies until they are strong and healthy then Tang would send them to welfare institution for adoptions.
As Zhang who is a 24-year-old firefighter from Fenyi Country, Xinyu, Jiangxi while Tang who is 85 years old this year. Where in 24 years ago, as Tang rescued Zhang who was abandoned as a baby he was then raised by Tang and her husband along with six other orphans and five of the couple’s biological children where the couple relied on their retirement salary and incomes from selling vegetables to support his large family.
Zhang’s sister was also one of the kids who was adopted and they would call her grandma as they were young enough to be her grandchildren. As the large family requires a lot of financial to be taken care, where 2001, a fire department in the Fenyi county learned about this family situation and decided to subsidize Zhang and his sister’s tuition fees and about a decade later, the fire department continued to support them until Zhang graduated from high school in 2016 and his sister graduated from college in 2013.
Over the yeas, the team has planted a good seed in Zhang’s heart and after he graduated he went into college and Zhang has chosen to follow his dream and join the army to serve the country and pursuing his studies and in 2020, he has won the third class of his outstanding performance. However, Zhang admitted that after he joined the fire brigade, the job was harder than he expected but he never regretted his decision as his job was to serve the people.
As his grandma gave him a second life, and the firefighters give him a third life he added that he is now able to support two students whose mother have die and whose families are financially unstable too and Zhang would spend his time with his grandma because of his job and he would take her out whenever he has a holiday.
On May 2020, Zhang took an advantage of his annual leaves and quietly arranged a surprise wedding photoshoot for his grandma and grandpa but his grandma was unable to make it due to physical reasons and Zhang decided to put on a uniform to accompany his grandma for the photoshoot and during the photos hooting session, the grandma is shy but is indeed very happy.
During the Chinese New Year of 2021, the fire brigade has invited grandma to have reunion dinner with them and Zhang is very statisfied with his life now and his greatest wish is that his grandma will always be healthy and he will have more time to keep her company.
