Japanese Ryokan Style Apartment On A 5-Room Bukit Batok Flat
A five-room Bukit Batok West flat was transformed into a Japanese Ryokan style apartment by a local based firm called Goy Architects.
With the ryokan style which incorporates the tatami floors, futon beds, and Japanese style bath and local elements such as raised timber platform with a lowered timber ceiling portal to make it cozy.
Other elements such as the Shoji sliding panel which made of translucent sheets on a lattice frame were also a few of these Shoji inspired touch which aims is to soften the natural light into the living room to create a gentle atmosphere.
