Youth Volunteers Launch Sengkang Goes Digital For Needy Students
Recently, the Youth volunteers from Punggol East, Sengkang West and Sengkang Central Youth Networks joined together to performs a programme to help those youth or children’s who needs a helping hands-on getting themselves in the world of technologies and the digital world today by launching a programme called “Sengkang Goes Digital”.
Labour chief Ng Chee Meng mentioned on his Facebook post on 25 Jun, this programme is to ensure education becomes accessible for all these students who don’t have the chance to own a personal or laptops by their own. Therefore, with the aid from the Community Development Welfare Funds, RSVP Singapore The Organisation of Senior Volunteers & Singapore Computer Society to give out personal computers and laptops to over 100 students in low-income families, so that these children can get exposed into today world of technologies and digitals.
ALl the recipient were joyful when they received their own computers because they usually shared their devices with several siblings due to they can’t afford to spend so much on gadgets such as smartphone, computers and etc.
