CNB Seized $215,000 Drugs In Sembawang Operation
The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) on June 22 to 23 has made an operation on 8 suspects, all male Singaporeans which ended in a full arrest, and $215,000 worth of drugs were seized.
The operation kicks off in the afternoon on June 22 with suspect spotted meeting near Wellington Circle, Sembawang. A white coloured car then arrives on the spot shortly after. As two of the suspects, a 49-year-old and a 55-year-old alighted from the car and went up to another van and hand over a black package.
Both the groups of suspect departed from the location after that and were tailed by CNB officers. The van was intercepted along Simei Avenue with both suspects arrested and officers found about 929g of heroin in the van. While another raid on the Chai Chee Avenue residential unit of the van driver uncovered 53g of “ICE”, another 57g of heroin and cash amounting to $20,155.
On the other side, after trailing the white car from Sembawang to Bukit Batok, the officers noticed the suspect meeting up with another suspect of 50-year-old.
On June 23 morning, the 50-year-old suspect earlier was arrested at the void deck of a block in Ang Mo Kio and about 1.91kg of heroin and cash amounting to $6,460 were found on him.
