119 New Cases While 405 Discharged On Covid-19
The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed that there are 119 new cases of Covid-19 on June 23. Which brings up the total to 42,432. While the vast majority of the new cases are from work permit holders staying in foreign workers dormitories. However, they are one work pass holder, one work permit holder, and one Singapore Permanent Resident case.
The Singapore Permanent Resident case (Case 42462) had been detected due to proactive surveillance of persons working at dormitories, even though he is asymptomatic. While the two of the Work Pass/ Work Permit holders (Cases 42405 and 42438) are also asymptomatic but were tested as part of efforts to screen workers in essential services.
