$300 Fine For Mosquitoes Breeding At Home
During the Pandemic period from Covid-19, Singapore was facing its worst dengue outbreak in history this year. The National Environment Agency (NEA) reported 12,542 cases so far as of 22 Jun.

One of the reasons for these outbreak of dengue was found from homes during circuit breaker period, therefore, there will be taking strict rules on households if they are found breeding mosquitoes. The fine will be increased to $300 form $200 earlier and this is for the first offence only, if repeat offenders with 3 or more offences will be trialled in court with fine up to $5,000, 3 months jail or both.
Meanwhile, for construction sites, For the first offence, owners of such premises will be fined $3,000, a $1,000 increase from the previous amount. Second offence fines are now higher, too, at $4,000. For the third offence, offenders will be prosecuted in court and receive a fine of up to $20,000, 3 months’ jail, or both.
