Restrictions On Two Doctors Who Took Advantage Of Female Patients
The Singapore Medical Council (SMC) has orders, two doctor, in response due to a complaint that they took advantage of vulnerable female patients in order to have sex with them./
The two accusers who are Dr. Chan Herng Nieng and Dr. Julian Ong Kian Peng have led to a defamation lawsuit again the woman who complained. Dr. Ong later lost the suit as the judge found that the defendant’s claim was justified. Dr. Ong who runs a private practice at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital while Dr. Chan is a former senior consultant pf psychiatry at Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
Both of them are under disciplinary action and they will require a staff member to be beside them when they are in contact with a female patient. With log records of their female patients for both of them.
