66 MRT Trains Retire After 33 Year in Service
On June 22, it marks a historic milestone for MRT service in Singapore. As the Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan pays tribute to the first generation of 66 trains which has been serving us all for 33 years.
These Kawasaki train has certainly been giving smiles to all those who enjoy it by the safe and reliable journey offers for all this time. The retirement of these 66 trains will give way to an SMRT train which is equipped with more advanced technologies.
