S’porean Man Charged For Allegedly Pushing Trolley Against Transport Ambassador
On June 18, a 48-year-old Singaporean were charged in court for his abusive behavior against a transport ambassador at Bedok MRT station. The incident which happens on June 14 as police were alerted on this disturbance, as the investigation by the police showed that the man was told to wear his face mask properly to cover his nose in the train towards Bedok MRT station, however after the man has adjusted his face mark, he started to hurl vulgarities at the transport ambassador.
As the Ambassador follow him as the get out of the train at Bedok and wanted to lodge a police report, the man pushed a supermarket trolley against the transport ambassador’s right knee. The man is then charged with one count of causing hurt by an act of endangering life or the personal safety of others under Section 337(a) of the Penal Code.
Police forces urge all members of the public that they will be no tolerance towards verbal or physical abuse on any Government servant or Public Ambassadors as they are trying to keep the community safe from the Covid-19.
