
Netizen Thanks Police After Scammed On Buying Phone

Who doesn’t love an attractive deal when it comes to expensive gadgets like the latest phone. One netizen named Mr. Teo was almost scammed when he purchase a phone with Wataspp instead of using Shopee.

The seller was reported to be incredibly friendly and patient too as they have been ongoing texting for about 3 hours after finally, he manages to persuade Mr. Teo to believe that it was the lowest price and this offer will only last for the day.
As Teo realize this whole scene was a scam after the seller requested him to make the additional payment which is called a COVID Protection deposit of $300 after he has made a payment of $200 earlier for the phone. As Teo mentioned to the seller that he will report to police afterwards, the seller went missing. Luckily for Teo, the police forces manage to help him retrieve back his $200.
