64,000 Green Sea Turtles Approaching Island in Raine Island, Australia

On June 9, a report of an amazing discovery as drone footage shows that about 64,000 green sea turtles were seen crossing the ocean and approaching towards the Raine Island, Australia.

This breathtaking footage was captured by a drone and the Raine Island is not open to a public island. While, the green turtle is an endangered species which has been decline since 1996. In the past, researches were having a hard time to estimate the population with the old technologies but by using a drone now it is much safer as the whole process wont disturb the natural habitat of these sea turtles coming to land to lay their eggs.
