S’porean Open Durian Stall Providing Job Aid For Worker at Bedok
Samuel Chen, 38-year-old used to be a Director of Danish Breweries but due to his business were badly affected during this period of the pandemic. And also the owner of wholesale business Farmland Asia Holdings Pte Ltd with the co-founder of coffeeshop chain S11 Group.
He set up up a new business of a durian stall called Home of Durian, during this moment to help ease out those who have lost their job by helping him to deliver durian to their customer which they can yield around $5-7.
Chen mentioned that the main priority of this Home of Durian business is not profit but his aim is to help out as many people as he can. Clearly Chen has a heart for these needy ones as previously Farmland Asia Holdings Pte Ltd they have seen distributing food and necessities to some migrant workers.
As Chen mentioned, this is a short term job for about 3 months time, once the government allows all business to operate back then the company might hire some of these workers to work full time in its office.
