Singaporean Estimate Used 1.33M Plastic Waste During Circuit Breaker
In just a few month’s time during Circuit Breaker, people in Singapore have generated around 1.33 million kilograms on plastic waste in result from taking away and delivery from a local survey.
This study was done by six alumni students from the National University of Singapore’s Master of Science (Environment Management) program carried out between May 17 – 25.
On the survey, it is shown that single use of plastic has increased and the survey conducted showing that each container was assumed to be around 25 grams, and the weight of one cutlery set was assumed to be around 10g. This is how the 1.33 million kg is being estimated out.
