An Elder Grab Driver Tells Stories Of His Lost Wife To Passenger, To Cherish The Loved Ones
We will commonly stumble upon a few types of Grab rides, some of which are very quiet while some will be the stories telling type. One grab rider, Ms.Lim, one day found herself a hard forgiving story as she stumbles upon an elderly driver from Grab. What makes her hard to forget about these touching stories with the driver is, the driver has lost his wife to an accident.
The driver mentions that 8 years ago he has retired from the army and started working for Uber, Grab, and Gojek. One day as he was driving, he received a phone call from his son. Telling him to come to the hospital now, but as he reaches the hospital it was already too late.
He told her that every day when he was at home, he could never have a proper conversation with her wife without arguing. Despite that, his wife will still leave him a cup of black kopi on the table and there will always be a packet of cai png on the table when he comes home from work.
So he told Ms. Lim, life is short, cherish your life and people around you and say sorry or I love you when you still have the chance. As you will never know when this loved one will leave this earth.
