In the middle of protest everywhere in United States. On June 1, Samantha Katie James, former Miss Universe Malaysia 2017, made a few incorrect statement on her Instagram stories which created a black-slash by #BlackLivesMatter netizen from all around the world on her comments.
James posted a few stories on the Instagram stories on her two cents about the topic which she wrote “chose to be born as a colored person in America for a reason. To learn a certain lesson” has even caught attention of Henry Golding, Crazy Rich Asians who grew up in Malaysia and he responded to James Instagram stories. As he is upset by what James comment on her stories.
But this doesn’t end here. As this whole issue now has even caught the attention of Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation and Velvet Vanity Cosmetics brand too.
Which on Tuesday, 2 Jun. Samantha Katie James apologises for her words earlier and saying that she will accept and be responsible for what she has spoken out on her Instagram stories. It is clearly that James has paid quite a price for this overlooking post.
