A 54-Year-Old Man were fined $4,500 For Buying Cough Syrup For Mom
A man went out to buy cough syrup for her mom due to her mom nonstop coughing which worries him. For this reason, he violated the home isolation order and was fined $4,500. Defendant was a freelance safety officer, and suspect was inspected of contracting the coronavirus and must stay at home as his “Isolation Order” between 10 February to 24 February.
Defendant were caught on the day when an auxiliary policeman from Zhe’an Security Agency came for a check up as he was found not at home. The defendant’s mother told the auxiliary police that she swallowed something while drinking and got coughed constantly. Worrying about his mom, defendant rushed out to help her buy cough syrup.

Defendant went out around 3.33 in the afternoon, to a drugstore 400 meter from his home. As the defendant claimed that he was wearing a N95 mask, but he was caught without wearing a mask by surveillance camera.
The prosecutor said that although the defendant went out about 19-minutes and didn’t go far. It is still a dangerous behavior as defendant lied that he was wearing a mask when he went out. The defendant can call 995 for help or ask friend, family or neighbours for help out instead.
