Recap of The Day – 240 Fined For Not Complying Safe Distancing Measures And 120 Fined For Not Wearing Mask

Today mark the day-12 of Circuit Breaker and seems like there are still a lot of people still not abiding by the safe distancing measurement and some event not wearing mask!

There are total of 240 people being fined for not complying safe distancing measurement and another 120 fined for not wearing masks outside of their home – As per posted by Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli on his Facebook

That would be $10,800 being collected solely just for fined not adhering the rule.

He has also informed that there were long queues at several markets again this weekend. At 8am this morning, there were around 200 people queuing at Geylang Serai Market, and the average waiting time to get into the market was at least 30 mins. Meanwhile, at Tekka Market there was no queue, and at 505 Jurong West, the queue was short and fast-moving, and it took less than 10 minutes to get into the market. With the crowd, Masagos is worry that it is possible it could result in another COVID-19 infection cluster
