Stats for April 18 – 200 People Caught For Breaking Safe Distancing Rules and 80 Face Fines For Not Wearing Masks

Yesterday was day-12 of the Circuit Breaker but seems like there are still a lot of people who is still not practicing the safe distancing and wearing mask.

As per reported by Minister for the Environment and Water Resources -Masagos Zulkifli, there were close to 200 people face a fine for not complying with safe distancing measures today. Aside from that, there were more than 80 will be issued fines for not wearing a mask outside their homes. and there were at least two were repeat offenders, and they face a composition fine of $1,000.

We’ve seen these few days, many have approach the people themselves on sounding those people but Masagos urged members of the public not to take it upon themselves to confront anyone who flouts safe distancing measures. Instead they should instead report it through the OneService app instead, he said. But do allow time for the enforcer to address on their matter as the officers will do their best to address the matter
