Crowds In MRT Trains On Saturday Morning Which Probably Due To Frequency Reduced During Circuit Breaker

by Brian Chan April 18, 2020

As we all know due to the Circuit Breaker, the frequency and operating hours of public buses and trains were cut down since April 17 during the circuit breaker period as fewer people are out and about this Covid-19 pandemic.

Many Singaporeans have been staying home since most workplaces closed earlier this month. Essential services, including medical, continue to operate. So in order for the save some costs due to lower riderships, the operators have reduced services to lower their lost.

With this lower frequency, we can see a larger crowds on MRT train even on Saturday morning.

There was a lot of reaction from the people where most of them are hoping that the SMRT brings back the normal timing so that waiting time will be lower and not forming crows while waiting

So what do you think? Should the SMRT folks just revert back to normal on their timing?
