With the steep increase in Covid-19 cases, but seems like the cases are mostly coming from foreign workers’ dormitories, but the government is preparing starting to prepare for the worst and allocated more spaces to house patients who do not require hospital care to free up those resources.
Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean shared on his Facebook several images of Changi Exhibition Centre being converted into a community care facility to house Covid-19 patients who are recovering from the disease or only show mild symptoms.
He also posted a photos that show the 40,000m² indoor exhibition hall at CEC, an Airshow site, having been furnished with basic furniture.
Good to hear that the government is starting to prepare and plan instead of waiting for the time the things explode.
