Due to the Internet service disruptions, StarHub is offering customers who were affected a rebate of 20 per cent on their home broadband monthly fee.
For now, there isn’t much details but more details will be announced later on a dedicated website where affected customers will be able to register for the one-time rebate.
As per the StarHub chief executives – the outages were not caused by out-of-date equipment, capacity shortage or a cyber attack, but noting that “the root cause has been identified as an internal network change management process”.
At this moment, the telco company is also cooperating with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in investigations and ensuring that there will not be a re-occurrence on this issue.
That day was a hell for the StarHub Internet users as many of users had taken to social media to complain about the issue throughout the day.
We do hope that this is just a one off and will not happen again in near future especially during the month of CB.
