This new service fee will take effect from April 16, 8pm onwards.
As reported by Mothership.sg, this fee is to partially cover the total costs of processing, picking and packing online grocery orders.
Good news is that you should be expecting a faster processing time as FairPrice also announced that they have hired and trained about 150 staff to become pickers and packers, increasing the number of delivery slots available by 25 per cent.
FairPrice will also introduce a multi-tiered delivery fee structure and the new multi-tiered delivery fee structure for FairPrice Online will be as follows:
Order value (SGD) | Delivery charge (SGD) |
$79 and above | Delivery charge waived |
Between $59 to $79 | $3.00 |
Below $59 | $5.00 |
Do make sure you share this with your friends and let them know there is a fee when they shop online.
