The Community Development Council (CDC) recently launched a Student Meals Scheme to help students from low-income families defray the cost of buying meals while they are on home-based learning (HBL).
From now till May 31, if you’re one of those people who is eligible, you will receive S$55 worth of GrabFood e-vouchers via the Grab app (in S$5 denominations) to order food during the Circuit Breaker period.
This will enable students to pre-order their meals and collect them when they are ready, helping them to avoid queues and unnecessary time outside home, Yahoo News reports.
There are in total of S$660,000 will be used to support around 12,000 needy students. The segment student will comprises the student at primary and secondary school who are part of households with at least one Singaporean Citizen staying in a unit under the public rental scheme.
