There has been more and more Covid-19 foreign worker that infected. Thus in order to avoid more and more spreading of the covid-19 virus among guest workers, the Singapore government plans to place healthy guest workers in floating dormitories at sea!
As of yesterday, the floating floating dormitory is basically completed, and finally appeared. There has been 2 floating hotel that appear and people has taken picture of it.
As per the Singapore Maritime and Port Authority (MPA), they have issued a statement today revealing that the authorities have collaborated with terminal operators Singapore Port Group (PSA), Keppel Offshore and Maritime, Bibby Maritime and The Ascott Limited to introduce and manage the two Home floating dormitories to temporarily house foreign workers.
The floating Hotel will be used house foreign workers, separating the healthy ones from the infected. We appreciate the the foreign workers as they play an important role in building Singapore. And as mentioned by PM Lee, Singapore has the responsibility to keep them safe. COVID19 is going to be a rough ride for everyone.
