Foreign Worker Moved To SAF at Jurong Camp II and Bedok Camp II Amid Covid-19

We know that the Covid-19 infection rate is high and now in order to slow down or even to move to halt the increase in covid-19 infections, especially amongst foreign workers, SAF will be housing healthy foreign workers in premises that are currently not used and not required for SAF’s operational activities.

There are about 1300 foreign workers have moved into vacant premises at Jurong Camp II and Bedok Camp II. This is a temporary measurement to house these foreign workers to ensure that the virus spreading is slowing down.

But in order to eligible for this, the workers are required to register and undergo medical checks before moving into their accommodation, and any person with a fever or respiratory symptoms will be denied entry.

There will be staggered meal timings, twice-daily temperature checks and safe distancing will be enforced to ensure the safety of workers and SAF personnel.
