Driver To Be Offered Rental Discount as Singapore Going into Circuit Breaker

Good news for those private hire drivers. If you’re one of those that is offering your services through the Grab and Gojek, you will be granted a partial rental waiver over the next four weeks during the circuit breaker.

This discount is given to follow the government announcement on circuit breaker and business offering non-essential services are required to temporarily close down and this is expected to hit those driver on the demand for point-to-point services.

Aside from the decrease of the rental, another good news from Grab specifically is that their driver will get at least a 50% discount on their commision fees. Meanwhile for Gojek has said in their statement that they will waive the vehicle rentals by up 60% for this duration.

Aside from that Grab and Gojek even the ComfortDelGro and SMRT have agreed to waive their rental for all their taxi driver for one month.

So good news and we do understand with this circuit breaker, for sure the demand for transportation will be lesser.
