On May 17, Karaoke Manekineko announces that all their Singapore outlet will shut down starting from 5 May where Manekineko had eight outlets in Singapore which is:
- Orchard Cineleisure
- SCAPE
- Bugis+
- Marina Square
- Lucky Chinatown
- SAFRA Punggol
- SAFRA Jurong
- Tampines 1

Manekineko thanked all their customer for their support in the past and the reason behind the closure was not revealed, but Manekineko also said that it is not goodbye, it is until we meet again. So maybe they are just temporarily closing down for the while. Manekineko is one of Japan’s largest karaoke chains with over 500 outlets nationwide. Which they knew for their colourful and vibrant karaoke room with the iconic cat logo.

The management of Manekineko, which has several outlets around the island, said on its social media today, in endearing Japlish, “We are going to close down all of our outlets in Singapore on 5th of May 2021.
