A TikToker in Singapore has received backlash for challenging a food delivery person to reach by a certain time to get a free drink and candy. On the TikTok video posted on Saturday, May 8, the video-sharing app user, Erica Chan filmed that she issued a small challenge and tracking the delivery worker’s progress on the Grab app to reach on 10 minutes if he is successful, he will get free milo and creepy bug Halloween themed candy.

The delivery stall arrives on time and from her tracking record, she notices that the grab food rider was running and she could be heard laughing with her boyfriend in the background. And she passes the gift to the GrabFood staff when he arrives on time.
However, several users disagree with Chan’s action as she could be putting the rider in potential danger for rushing the delivery but there are some who also come to her defence that she did give the delivery worker a choice to take up the challenge or not.

Chan then went on to make another same video where she changed the sentence to if you are bored and you can reach by a certain time, you will get free milo and creepy Halloween theme bug candy. This round the other rider didn’t reach her home by the time she set for him, so he didn’t get the freebies. Few users mentioned that it is unfair for the rider as she was criticized as an act of privilege and makes it out from these delivery riders. But she did gift the rider a bottle of water.
