Girl 5 yo Drowns in Condo Swimming Pool After Mom Leaving Her alone for 20 Minutes only

A five-year-old girl was found to have drowned in a condominium pool on October 8. The incident happens at The Asana Condominium along Queen’s Road at around 6.30 pm and the coroner inquest on Friday, May 7, and the investigation officer and two witnesses were called for the incident. The event in which the daughter had drowned after her mother left her unattended for 20 minutes as she needs to head home to use the toilet.
Her daughter was left alone at the swimming pool, which was captured on CCTV footage where the mother returned to the swimming pool a while later realizing her daughter was missing and she could be seen circling the pool a few times before seeing her daughter drowned and frantically seeking the help of condominium’s security officers.
The unconscious girl was placed on a deck chair by the pool and a resident helped to perform CPR on her and she never gains consciousness and after three days, her parents made the heartbreaking decision to take their daughter off life support. After investigation, the girl only manages to attend three swimming classes prior to the incident and she was unable to keep herself afloat. The depth of the swimming pool was 1.3 meters, but the girl was only 1.06 meters tall.
The father also raised further clarification on the coroner’s report where a caucasian man had been spotted walking towards his apartment shortly after the blue kickboard was seen floating away and the father raised the question of whether the man had been interrogated in relation to the case and he suspected that someone might have pushed his daughter into the pool.
