Asian American Teen Suffers Concussion After Getting Punched During Basketball Game

An Asian American teenager was punched and called a racial slur while playing at a basketball tournament in Oakland. The incident which ere caught during an Amateur Athletic where the teenager, Evan is seen being pushed by a player from the San Francisco Generals, the opposing team then Evan manages to get up but then get pushed again by the second player from the opposing teams and after a verbal exchange, Evan’s opponents suddenly punch him in the head.
Evan’s parents quickly ran over to defend his son and the players from the San Francisco Generals repeatedly calling Evan and his teammates the C-word. A witness of two sons’ play in the AAU confirmed this allegation to KPIX 5 where several of the boys were using a lot of profanity words such as B-word and C-word.
The whole incident was no one apologized after the incident and some parents reported to the tournament director but he refused to watch the video of the incident and the player who punched Evan will be barred from Sundays’ game however his teammate who pushed Evan will not face any consequences. Evan’s parents are planning to file a police report.
