Migrant Worker Setup His Own Biryani Stall in Yishun With Food Selling Out Daily

A particular migrant worker from Bangladesh, manage to leave his construction job after 6 years, Mr. Bepar Sharief now runs a successful biryani stall at Yishun which his food sells out every day around 3.30 pm. The stall which is tucked away in a Kopitiam at Block 343 Yishun Avenue 11 is the Briyani 47, the stall that serves this delicious Bangladeshi-style biryani. The business is running so well that they will be opening a new outlet soon.
However, the stories of Sharief came to Singapore 8 years ago from Bangladesh and work as a construction worker for the first 6 years. And then he went for skills training back in Bangladesh then he returns the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) transfer him to a food company were working there for a while, the company owner Rueben spoke to him about his cooking skills. From there, Briyani 47 was established with Sharief as a shareholder. Sharief also paying back Reuben although he didn’t contribute funds to set up the store.
The well-loved biryani is as authentic as it gets because Sharief honed his skills after learning from his mother back home at Uttor Khamer, Bangladesh, and from a young age, Sharief was interested in cooking and would help his mother prepare all the food. While back then his father disapproved as he held the traditional belief that boys should not cook and after seeing Sharief’s success, both his parents expressed happiness for him.
