Car Driver Brakes Hard and Avoid Cyclists Riding in Middle and Far Right Lane on Bishan Flyover at Midnight

The footage was shared on Facebook on April 24 where a driver had to brake hard while driving along Bishan Flyover at night to avoid hitting a group of cyclists which took the entire road and the cyclist light was dim which make it hard for the driver to spot them. The time of the video took place on Saturday morning just after 12.40 am.

There were at least four cyclists on the left-most lane while two in the center lane and one on the rightmost lane. The driver could be seen repeatedly flashing the high beam and subsequently giving a long honk at the cyclist and as the car travels further front, another cyclist was seen further ahead cycling on the center lane.
According to Road Traffic (Bicycles) Rules, the cyclist must keep the far left edge of the road unless overtaking and Cyclist should also ride in a manner which does not obstruct vehicles moving at a faster speed.
