PMD Rider Spotted Racing Down Flyover in Upper Bukit Timah Reach 70kmph in speed

source sgroadvigilante

A Personal Mobility Device (PMD) order was sighted speeding along the Hillview flyover where it manages to overtake a motorcycle in the video footage taken by the motorcycle passenger. In the video, the motorcycle pulls up alongside the PMD rider along the Hillview flyover in the direction of Woodlands Road. The PMD rider who is carrying a GrabFood delivery back manages to turn over his head and look at the motorcycle rider.

The PMD covered approximately 295 meters in 15 seconds which works out to be at a speed of 70kmph and it matches the video caption which claims that the motorcycle was traveling at 70kmph too. PMD in Singapore are highly regulated beside not being allowed on roads and public footpath, there is a restriction on their internal mechanisms as well where their speed is limited at 25kmph and this speed apply on all active mobility devices (including PMDs, bicycles, and power-assisted bicycles) traveling on cycling paths and Park Connectors.
