Hong Kong Air Travel Bubble With Singapore Delayed Again Due to the Rising Case of Covid-19

The scheduled announcement on the air-travel bubble (ATB) between Singapore and Hong Kong has been called off again where the cancelation was first raised by Singapore. A spokesperson from the Ministry of Transport mentioned that authorities on both sides have been in close consultation and agreement to put the travel bubble on hold for the moment. Which the delays mark the second time in five months due to the earlier case was rising in Covid-19 cases nationwide again.
Singapore had also announced tougher border measures for travelers arriving from India, citing the worsening Covid-19 situation in the country, as well as the emergence of new virus variants. The delay also comes after the Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday, Apr. 20, as a new local Covid-19 cluster involving three cases linked to a man who was “probably re-infected” in India.
