If you love calligraphy then check out this private bungalow which will be opened to members of the public for an art exhibition during the period from April 20 to May 2. Pan Shou is a calligrapher, poet, and scholar who has contributed immensely to the development of Singapore’s education and cultural sectors through his advocation of Chinese art, literature, and culture.
He was born in China in 1911 and made Singapore his home from 1930. Now you can enjoy this Temenggong Artist-In Residence where the display includes rare calligraphy works of Pan Shou on loan from private collections. Other participating names are:
- Chinese artists Huang Ting, Lu Quanbin, Wang Chunsheng, and Xu Zihan
- South Korean artists Chong Jong-Sup and Lee Moo Ho
- Singaporean artist Chen Peifu
There will be three evenings of Nanyin (Music of the South) by Siong Leng Musical Association (SLMA) but it is an invite-only performance.
