Suriya ignored the death threats earlier because LGBTQ wedding ceremonies are common in Thailand and they are married in their house, with their own family, and in Thailand but why and what is wrong with Indonesians when they have to go so far. Plus Suriya added that he did not want to blame religion as he knew a Muslim family who supported him for who he is and didn’t face any problems while studying in the Muslim-majority province of Pattani.

On the same day, a lawyer, Ronnarong Kaewpetch also engaged in harassment from the Indonesian. As same-sex marriage is not recognized by Thai Law but it is not uncommon to see gay couples throwing wedding parties and the family is suffering much stress from the incident. Ronnarong also warned these Indonesians that arrest warrants will be waiting for them in Thailand if they step foot in the country and he also urged the couple to make a police report as a precaution against the potential fanatic within Thailand.
