Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and also when all Muslims all over the world will start the act of fasting for a month which means there are no food or drinks from dawn to sunset for an entire month. With a mixture culture in our country, most of us will have friends and colleagues who are trying their best to make our lives easier during the fasting month.

Don’t Feel Bad for eating or Drinking in Front of us

It is really okay to eat or drink in front of us where at some point you might think that eating or drinking in front of us is considered rude but it is actually not rude.

No Special Treatment, Please

Some friend or colleague might give their seat to us on the train or skipping lunch so that we can have dinner together but seriously, you don’t really have to do it as fast for an entire month is not easy but that is exactly what God is testing us.

Don’t act weird if you see us Eating sudden

When a woman menstruates it will invalidate their fast for the day and if the next time you see your female Muslim friend or colleague eating or drinking during the fasting month just act normal as they have their own reason.

I am not fasting doesn’t make me a bad Muslim

Some people might like to quickly judge another person, but some person might have a various reason which can exempt them from fasting such as illness, chronic medical condition, postnatal bleeding, pregnancy, breastfeeding.

It is not a torturous month for us

While fasting for a long period of the hour might be sound like torturing but actually, it is not but instead during the month of Ramadan where the dining table will be filled not just food but also families member as they will enjoy the sahur (pre-dawn meal) and iftar (Breakfast meal) together.
