- National Day – Aug. 9 (Tuesday)
- Deepavali – Oct. 24 (Monday)
- Christmas Day – Dec. 25 (Sunday, the following Monday will be a public holiday)
Here is some of the holiday which you can enjoy longer, wherein the month of May you can enjoy a long weekend with Labour Day and Hari Raya Puasa with combining it for a four-day rest. Then there might be a possibility of five day weekend for the Chinese New Year holiday where workers get to decides on taking one day of leave only. Lastly, there is two holidays that fall on Saturday which is the New Year’s Day and Hari Raya Haji which will give you two day of a straight rest day.
MOM’s press release also reminded employers that employees who work on a public holiday are entitled to an extra day’s salary at the basic rate of pay, in addition to their gross rate of pay for that day.
