A moon with rainbow halo was spotted by residents in Singapore on the Friday night, 26 March between 7 pm to 9 pm, where the mood was not in full shape but it is somehow relatively bright and the full moon will only appear on Sunday Night, 28 March where it will be called as the full Worm Moon, which the name was derived from Native American tribes which notice earthworm appearing in the spring as soil warmed.
The halo is caused by light of the moon passing through a thin layer of cirruform (ice-crystal) clouds in the upper atmosphere and these ice-crystals refract the light of the moon to produce this rainbow.
