German Man Found In Hougang Left by Wife and His Earlier Partnership Company is Seeking for Jobs

A 49-year-old man from Karlstadt, Germany called Thomas where has been spotted relying on donation and sleeping in parks for over a year. He will usually rely on a kind-hearted stranger and nearby temple for food. Currently, he is receiving an assistant from the Hougang Sheng Hong Family Service centre. He arrives in Singapore over 10 years ago and started a family here which then he became a Singapore Permanent Resident, where he previously worked in a construction company and then started his own company with $12,000 a month as a director. However, later Thomas fell out with his partnership and left the company after 2 years.

Then Thomas’s marriage with his Singaporean wife broke down and he left their Hougang flat and moved in with a friend and during the pandemic, he moved out from his friend’s house and has been sleeping on the streets. Currently, he does not have his passport and he does not remember his bank account PIN. He is too embarrassed to contact his relatives in his home town for help. If his situation does not improve in three months time, he plans to ask his relative in Germany to buy an air ticket for him to return to his home town. Currently, he has been looking for job opening in the newspaper, but his effort usually futile due to people will find that they have to pay him high salary due to he is Caucasian, but he doesn’t mind taking up any job like cleaning for example.
Therefore, he is seeking for job opening so that his condition can be better in three months time.
