5 Individual Arrested After Setting Off FireCrackers To Mourn Over Death Gang Member’s Funeral in Brickfield

A recent video shared online where a few cars were spotted stopping illegally at a cross-junction at Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur as a few guys were spotted lit- on a few firecrackers while an MPV car where having a front funeral photo of someone related to Gang-36 had caught attention of many people but also the attention of police forces.
From the video which is circulating on the social media, police has received two reports regarding the video. According to Brickfields District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Anuar Omar, the first report was made by a senior police officer who saw the 36-second video and the second report was done by another senior police officer who saw the video with a gang symbol of 36.
A police team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Brickfield District Police Headquarter (IPD) later arrested five men aged 18 to 26 years old at five separated location between 9pm and 2.30 am and during the raid, the police has seized four vehicles of Toyota Vellfire, Toyota Camry, Honda Civic and a Yamaha LC135 motorcycle – along with a flower wreath arranged to show the numbers 36, which is believed to be in reference to Geng 36.
One of the suspect even have a criminal record while the other did not have any. The investigation found that a 28-year-old man who has died at a road accident at 7 am on 14 March and the suspect and his friend has ordered to set off firecrackers if he died. Anuar advised the public not to engage in activities that violate the country’s legal system or join any unrecognised organisation.
