Raya and the Last Dragon Has 4 Unique Martial Arts of Southeast Asian History Blended in it

The latest Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon where it features a movie of an ancient martial art animation movie, and the movie actually features 4 unique Southeast Asian’s Martial arts. Here is the martial art which features in this movie which are Pencak Silat, the most common practice in among the Malaysia and Indonesia and they are using the weapon of keris (dagger). Arnis which is know as the kali or eskrima where it is an national sports and martial art of the Philippines and it is famous for self-defence, hand-to-hand combat, joint locks, and weapon disarming techniques.

Then it comes to the most popular close combat sport of Thailand which is the muay thai as the fighter will use their elbow, fish, knees and legs as a giant weapon. Plus this is one of the most dangerous combat sports in the world and it can leave a fighter heavily bruised and bloodied in fights. Lastly, is the Đấu Vật, or traditional Vietnamese wrestling which can be seen as as a dance where the goal is to tackle the opponent to the ground.
