Lou Ottens, the father of audio cassette tape inventor has die at the age of 94 years old and the news were announced by his family on 9 March, the Dutch engineer has pass away at his home town in Duizel in the Netherlands. With the cassette tape invented since 1960s, around 100 billion units has been sold around the world and it has changed the way of people listening to music back then other than the vinyl records and olden day methods.
Otten who has becomes the head of Philips’ product development department 1960 and later he even struck a deal with Philips and Sony as they saw his model confirmed as the patented cassette and a number of Japanese companies has reproduced similar tapes too.
Now netizen are sharing his memories and thanking him for his great invention and the good past he has provided to all of them in the late 80s and 90s.
