Meow reasons for Adorable Kitty Pop Up Display by Jap Artist at Malay Heritage Centre this month

For those who are obsessed with cats well, then you might want to check out the latest cat invasion at the Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) in Kampung Glam to welcome a group of cats to the lawn as a part of an exhibition featuring Juno where a Japanese artist famous for his work on Instagram.

This special exhibition is a collaboration with Japanese artist Juno a.k.a. @mofu_sand. Paw-verbs, a wordplay on proverbs, is an exhibition that features common and lesser-known Malay proverbs while using the cat displays as a metaphor. And currently he has over 300k Instagram fans and you can find his work of cats here.

Apart from this cute exhibition, you can learn more about the Malay proverbs at the exhibition such as ‘serta lalu kucing, tikus tidak berdecit‘ which translates to ‘with the arrival of someone who instils fear. While this event shine spotlight on 10 commonly used proverbs to showcase how cats are often times used to link to human behaviour.

The exhibition will be open to the public from now till 30 May 2021 and admission is free.
