S’porean Shares How Tempered Glass Door Can Suddenly Shattered in Homes
A Singaporean family encounter a horrifying experience in their home when their sliding glass door shattered into pieces all of a sudden where Eldora Lie shared on her Facebook page the incident that happened on the last day of Chinese New Year (26 February) which was captured by their home CCTV.

Our home sliding glass door just ‘BOMB’ and shattered into pieces. Thankfully that our boys and the adults were not caught at the incident. (We are really veryyyy blessed)
So I’ve went back to our contractor and ask: why did our tempered glass shattered….
and he says that “ tempered glass means safety glass and it does not mean that it would not shatter, it will break into cubes compared to those sharp pointy glass. “ (Come on, it’s still the same, in cubes also sharp what… we still hurt ourselves when we are trying to sweep clean the place…)So, guys, if u think that tempered glass is safe to use… think twice or thrice….

As the video show that Eldora’s husband is walking from the dining area into the kitchen then the sliding door glass suddenly shatter into pieces. Edora mentions that she suddenly heard a very loud, while her husband and helper sustained minor cuts at the bottom of their feet while trying to clean up the glass piece, and Eldora asked her contractor why their tempered glass had shattered, the contractor tell her that tempered glass means safety glass doesn’t mean it would not shatter but instead it will break into cubes compared to sharp pointy glass for safety reason.
