AirAsia Food Now Operating in S’pore too With Free Delivery till 16 Mar
The airline industry has suffered heavy damage during the Covid-19 pandemic and the budget airline AirAsia weren’t spare also. Because of this, they have to venture into food delivery which is the one business which helps them to continued to thrive especially when there are more people working from home now. After weeks of anticipation, AirAsia Food has launched in Singapore and it is starting the ordering from the platform now.
For all customer, there will be unlimited free delivery till 16 Mar for deliveries within 8 km of the order point and other than green and pink, food delivery riders now will see a bright red which is the AirAsia signature brand colour. This new service has 26 food outlets on board and there will be more coming online soon.
There are a good mix of Asian and Western restaurants, including Swee Choon Tim Sum, Maki-san, Pizza Express, Brinda’s, Miam Miam and about 80 restaurants will be offered initially plus 300 more will be added soon. There is also a pre-order option available too if you want to order your meal ahead of time.
As for delivery riders, AirAsia Food is courting them with an incentive scheme and they will be able to earn up to $700 a week on average. The maximum distance riders will have to deliver is 20 km from a restaurant, with delivery fees going from $2.99 to $20. About 500 riders have already joined, with the company aiming to double that figure by the 3rd quarter of 2021.
