Man Dropped out of University to becomes Full Time Pole Dancer Which He Owns 3 Studios Today
Meet Louis Sue where he has the power to lift himself upwards on the so-called pole dance activities. Sue, 28 year has mastered over years of swinging himself around the pole which it makes you feel like you aren’t flying. Sue, who is the co-founder of pole dancing studio PXD and the number of males in each of Sue’s pole dancing class today has double and even tripled from his time and he has been in pole dancing since 2015 and the sports has evolved from something out of the ordinary to something.
Sue has become interested in pole dancing during his army days and he was inspired by dancers of all shapes and size from various Got Talent shows. He eventually won the Singapore Pole Challenge 2016 and it was his first pole dancing competition. He simply takes part because he wanted to get exposure and make a name for himself and placing himself on the map in the industry prove that guy from Singapore could compete in pole dance and win too.
In 2016, about a year into pole dancing, Sue found himself having to choose between entering the Singapore Institute of Management and pole and he eventually decided to drop his university study to pursuit his pole dance dream and his parents were not happy with his decision initially but they give up relentlessly by giving him one year to go out and prove himself. With that, Sue earned top place in over half of the 10 competitions which included the honour of “winner” in the 2019 Taiwan Pole Sport Championships and 2019 Exotic Generation Asia.
He even met his now-girlfriend Dionne during one of his pole practice sessions at his previous studio and she connected with him over their shared passion for the sport, and in 2019, the pair set up their own studio (PXD), so that they could share that passion with others.
Sue credits the sport’s recent popularity to more people picking it up, and seeing it as a form of fitness.
