Man Befriend with a Wild Boar and name it David and even Coaxes it to Sleep too
With the earlier wild boards has been getting some bad press recently ever since after the few attacks on two women earlier at Punggol. However, on a video which were filmed by one Fred Fred Chen Tan who is a Half-Thai currently living in Singapore and due to his life in rural village in Thailand, he is used to seeing all sorts of wildlife.
In the video, Tan can be heard speaking to the wild boar behind the camera in a friendly manner as the wild boar cautiously approaches him and he also call it as David multiple time and he manages to make the wild boar walks right up to him and stop at his feed.
Then he pet the creature on its back and said does it want to go to sleep and surprisingly the wild board does it and turns lying on its side. A lot of netizens expressed their surprise that the wild boar remained so calm and friendly and other member of the public noted that this is unconventional and they should avoid into close contact with wild board.
Wild boars may become aggressive if provoked, which could lead to attacks and increased incidences of human-wildlife conflict. Members of the public may call the Animal Response Centre at 1800-476-1600 to report wild boar encounters.
