A Person killed after Entered into MRT Tunnel and Train Services Between Bugis and Aljunied Disrupted
The MRT train services on the East-West line were disrupted on 25 February night where a person was allegedly killed on the tracks. Where the person has intruded into the tunnel from a portal area at Lavender and around 9.40pm the Pasir Ris-bound train were halted in the middle of the tracks between Kallang MRT and Lavender MRT. The lights on the train track were appeared to be dimmed on that time.
Later on, Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel were observed walking onto the tracks towards the train. And a number SCDF personnel and police officers were spotted on the platform as well. Later on, there were report by SMRT twitter that there will be no trains operating between Bugis and Aljunied and bridging buses were available for commuters.
The station was then later shuttered and closed off from members of the public. Later on, a person was pronounced dead on the scene by an SCDF paramedic on 11.08pm.
